Pricing
Are there any hidden charges?
No, the prices listed on our website are the flat charges per person for any catering event. However, for large events, additional charges may apply since more servers will be required to serve the large group.
I am going to provide my own plates and silverware to match my party theme, do I get a discount on the listed catering prices?
We do not offer a discount on the listed prices since the plates and plasticware are complimentary. We buy bulk so the cost we incur isn't substantial.
How much is the travel charge if the catering location is farther than 15 miles from Pomona, CA?
The travel charge is about $3.00 per each additional mile that we need to travel. However, we only charge for the miles going in one direction. For example, if your location is 25 miles from Pomona, CA, you will only be charged for 10 miles.
Is gratuity included in your prices?
Gratuity is not included in our prices. It will added to your invoice according to the size of your event.
With the taco man catering, how many tacos are included per person?
We figure about 4 tacos per person, but it all works out in the end. Some people will eat four or more tacos and others will eat four or less tacos.
What is the price for an additional serving hour?
The price for each additional serving hour is $65.00; only two hours of serving is included in our prices.
How come I am able to find taco man caterings for less than your listed price?
Honestly, with our prices you are getting more than what you pay for. You’re getting quality, professional service, and the security of knowing that you’re hiring someone who is actually in the restaurant business (with great reviews). Not to list off the many horror stories we have heard regarding other taco man caterers, but the majority of them work out of their own home, do not have necessary equipment to store the food at the required temperatures, do not wear professional attire, etc.

What is required to book an event?
We usually require a nonrefundable deposit (may be more depending on number of guests) and the signing of our standard catering agreement. If for any reason you need to cancel the catering event, you may use the deposit towards another catering event with us within two years.
Day of Event
What time will the servers arrive?
The servers arrive about an hour before the serving time in order to setup and be ready to start serving at the time requested. In the case you need the servers before the standard hour an additional fee will apply.
Do I need to provide any tables?
No, we bring the tables that we need for the food that we cater. All you need to worry about is about providing the space for us to setup.
What happens if there is food leftover?
You may keep the leftover food, but you will need to provide the servers with containers; the servers do not carry containers. Please make the containers available to the servers 30 minutes prior to the end of the serving time.
Do you cook on site?
No. The food is precooked since it would take more servers to cook the meat on site, more hours to serve all your guests, and all your guests would not eat at the same time.
What if I have less than 50 people?
You have multiple options:
1.You may pick up the food at the restaurant
2. Request a delivery to your home or office. We will just deliver the food and you may serve yourself.
3. Pay for the 50 people and keep the left overs.
Food Questions
What do you use to cook your beans and rice?
The rice is fried with vegetable lard and our beans also contain vegetable lard.
Do you have any veggie options?
With the taco man package, you can substitute the Carnitas meat with Onions, Bell pepper, and Potato.
Payment
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due a week before the catering event unless arranged otherwise with Jaime.
What forms of payment do you accept?
